Pink flower buds, - Lilac or a Silly Question?

Some of the best Latin Plant names are remembered because they rhyme with easy to remember words

Cercissiliquastrum
So a Silly Question is how I remember this stunning small tree - Cercis Siliquastrum (Judas Tree). It flowers with pink buds on the branches, and the new foliage appears bronze in colour.

Here it is this great specimen framed against an Apple tree, also in full bloom

Cercis&Malus

But there was also Lilac (Syringa Vulgaris) looking rather good as well.

SyringaVulgaris
Which was easily 15 feet tall, showing that they are not small bushes, and are best mostly left alone, and only pruned (thinned) occasionally.

This is a bit contrived (to say the least), but here goes:
Could 'E Really Cross 'Is Saviour? (CERCIS) - Silly Question
the He (without the h, told you it was contrived) obviously being Judas.
